1:04 pm	Death to the Infedels Hi again I can see this turning into a regular rant about organised religion. First let me state for the record that I am a Roman Catholic and have been since I graced this mortal coil with my birth. That said I have some very serious qualms about Catholiicism; such as their possistion on homosexuality, women, marriage, the list goes on. But my main problem with organised religion is that it is so inflexible and no one religion will admit that they are wrong. I was in Reading a little while ago and there was a group of Christian Fundementalists there spouting about how great Jesus was and how he was the only Religious figure who performed miricals. In his words "mohammed didn't perform miricals, bhudda didn't perform miricals........". "That's right boy lets denounce the infedels" I wanted to say in a voice dripping with sarcasm, but of course I didn't. So what the Bible tells us that Jesus performed miricals, he turned water into wine, is it our fault he was a light wieght? At the end of the day Jesus was a good man who was nailed to a tree for saying how good it would be if were all just nice to each other. That's the message we should take from the bible, not the homophobia, the sexism and the obbsession with not having sex (I would point out that the bible was orriginally coppied by monks who had taken a vow of cellabicy, is it just me or is there a hint of revenge in that). Although that may have represented the best wisdom of it's time it is just wrong by modern standards. So on that note I leave and wish you all a very pleasent day. 12:44 pm	September 11 Hello, well as my first entry this could either go very well or exeptionally badly. First an appology about my spelling, i know it's appalling, like it or lump it. Ok, now I'm going to start what I'm best at; I'm going to rant. My first topic (and sorry to anyone this may offend but hear me out), is September 11. Don't get me wrong, what happened on sept 11 was to say the least tragic but it's being used as an excuse for a lot of mindless buerocracy (and wars, but i'll leave that for another rant). Example. was in the bank the otherday and wanted to order a new debit card (well a debit card because they forgot to send me one when i opened my account) and they said that i needed 2 forms of ID. Apparently the reason for this is september 11. And this is where I get lost. Is someone who is going to commit some terrible plan like that going to get flummoxed by the need to present 2 forms of fake I.D. I mean honestly. Any hoo. You get the idea. I've got to go.
